This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioner / AO1 for grant of interim bail in favor of him for the period from 04.03.2024 to 07.03.2024 in relation to Crime No.03/RCT-CIU-ACB/2024 of ACB, CIU Range, Hyderabad, registered for the offences under Sections 7(a) and 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. 2.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel / Special Public Prosecutor for ACB.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the father of the petitioner expired on 24.02.2024. As such, the petitioner filed Crl.M.P.No.211 of 2024 seeking grant of interim bail for three (03) days before the trial court. The trial court granted interim bail for three days. The petitioner was released and later surrendered on 28.02.2024. The ten (10) days ceremony and other rituals need to be performed. As such, the petitioner filed Crl.M.P.No.221 of 2024 seeking for grant of interim bail from 02.03.2024 to 07.03.2024 to honor the family duties. But the trial court on an erroneous view, dismissed the said petition on 02.03.2024. Learned Standing Counsel / Special Public Prosecutor for ACB stated that 164 Cr.P.C. Statement of the de-facto complainant was recorded. 5.
Considering the circumstances stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner and as the petitioner was only seeking for an interim bail in view of performing necessary rituals after his father's death, it is considered fit to grant interim bail from 04.03.2024 to 07.03.2024 to the petitioner in Crime No.03/RCTCIU-ACB/2024. 6.
In the result, the Criminal Petition is allowed granting interim bail to the petitioner-AO1 from 04.03.2024 to 07.03.2024 and the petitioner is directed to be released on the same terms and conditions as imposed by the learned I-Additional Special Judge for Trial of SPE & ACB Cases at Hyderabad while granting interim bail to the petitioner earlier. After completion of the interim bail period, the petitioner is directed to surrender and report before the I-Additional Special Judge for Trial of SPE & ACB Cases at Hyderabad at 10:30 AM on 08.03.2024.
