HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.42436 of 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to declare the action of the 3rd respondent in calling the petitioners to the police station for verification of the documents basing on the complaint issued by the respondents 4 and 5 as illegal and arbitrary and consequently direct the 3rd respondent not to interfere with the civil litigation and call petitioners to police station. Heard and perused the material available on record. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home submitted that the respondent-police are not intending to interfere with the civil disputes. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the following direction:

"The 3rd respondent is directed not to interfere with the affairs of petitioners, more particularly, with their civil disputes. However, this Order will not stand in the way of the 3rd respondent to register a case, if any complaint is lodged against the petitioners for cognizable offence."
