ORAL ORDER:

Petitioners 10 in number and others were appointed as cleaners on NMR basis in the year 1987. Some of the cleaners were provisionally absorbed in Work Charge Establishment with effect from 24.7.1987, whereas petitioners were not considered. Petitioners claim that they should also be given same benefit of absorption with effect from 24.7.1987. Ventilating their grievance, petitioners have submitted representation addressed to the Engineer in Chief, Roads and Buildings. Said representation was forwarded by the office of the Engineer in Chief to the Superintending Engineer, Roads and Buildings/third respondent vide memo dated 23.8.2014. Learned counsel for petitioner submitted that the issue is yet to be decided.

Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Roads and Buildings (TG) and with their consent, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

Having regard to the contention of the learned counsel for petitioners that grievance of the petitioners is yet to be resolved, this writ petition is disposed of directing the third respondent to examine the claim of the petitioners forwarded vide memo dated 23.8.2014 and pass appropriate orders as warranted by law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order and communicate the same to the petitioners.
