Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj for respondents. 2.

Aggrieved by the order of removal from service, petitioner claims to have preferred appeal on 22.04.2018. Alleging that the said appeal is yet to be disposed of, causing hardship to him, this writ petition is filed.

Though in the writ petition, petitioner sought prayer to direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner as Panchayat Secretary while allowing the appeal dated 22.04.2018, learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that no such direction can be granted by this Court and that petitioner is satisfied if a direction is issued to the appellate authority to dispose of the appeal.

Having regard to the said submission, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Commissioner, Panchayat Raj Rural Development-2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 22.04.2018, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
