By the proceedings dated 26.2.2018 of the Chief Executive Officer, Telangana State Waqf Board, petitioner was placed under suspension pending disciplinary action. Alleging prolonged suspension and as there was no progress in the enquiry, the present writ petition is filed. 2.
The learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for Respondent Waqf Board agreed for disposal of the writ petition with a direction to the Respondent Board to complete the disciplinary action as expeditiously as possible.

On instructions, the learned Standing Counsel submits that serious allegations are levelled against the petitioner and enquiry officer requested two months time for completing enquiry. Having regard to the said submission and in view of the fact that suspension was resorted to on 26.2.2018 i.e. more than one year, I deem it appropriate to direct the Respondent Waqf Board to complete the enquiry and disciplinary action by passing final orders within a period of three months from the date of receipt of this order. For any reason not attributable to the petitioner, if the disciplinary proceedings are not concluded within such time, suspension shall be revoked. With regard to the fact that the enquiry is pending for a long time, the Respondent Board shall fix a time schedule to complete various stages of enquiry including passing of final orders. The petitioner as well as Board shall adhere to the time schedule fixed. 4.
With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
