THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V. SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.14663 of 2016 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioners in the present writ petition is as to the inaction on the part of the respondents in considering the representation, dated 12-02-2016 submitted by the petitioners. 2 . Heard Sri G.Elisha, learned counsel for petitioners and the learned Government Pleader for Higher Education for respondents, apart from perusing material available on record.

3. According to the petitioners, they are Post Graduates in History and belong to Backward Class community. It is the further case of the petitioners that the then Correspondent of the 4th Respondent College issued proceedings on 20-01-2006 and 2302-2006 respectively, appointing the petitioners as part-time Lecturers in History and thereafter the said posts have been converted into unaided with effect from 18-02-2016 and 06-03respectively. It is further stated that since then the petitioners have been working as Lecturers in the unaided vacancy. It is the further case of the petitioners that they made representations on 12-02-2016 to the Commissioner of Collegiate Education-2nd respondent herein, requesting to consider their case for admitting into grant-in-aid in the available vacancies of History in the 4th respondent College.

4. In the present writ petition, it is the complaint of the petitioners that no action has been taken on the said representations submitted by the petitioners. Eventually, it is

requested by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the 2nd respondent herein may be directed to pass appropriate orders on the said representations by fixing some timeframe. The said request made by the learned counsel for the petitioners is not opposed by the learned Government Pleader.

For the aforesaid reasons, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the 2nd respondent-Commissioner and Director of Collegiate Education, Government of A.P. to consider the representations, dated 12-02-2016 said to have been submitted by the petitioners herein and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of this order. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
