This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioner/ A.29 to quash Crime No.49 of 2018 of Kodad Town Police Station, Suryapet District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 120-B, 379, 406, 420, 465, 468 and 471 read with 34 of IPC. 2.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner/ A.29, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing respondent No.1/ State and perused the record.

Learned counsel for the petitioner/ A.29 would submit that there are no grounds to proceed with the investigation against the petitioner/ A.29. Learned counsel also submits that other accused were remanded to judicial custody and ultimately prayed to allow the petition.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing respondent No.1-State opposed the relief sought for. 5.

As per the First Information Report, dated 22.02.2018, there are allegations against the petitioner/ A.29 constituting the cognizable offences as indicated above. Therefore, it cannot be said that the registration of FIR and continuation of investigation is an abuse of process of law. Under these circumstances, the petition does not merit consideration.
