THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.35515 of 2015 ORDER:

This Writ Petition was filed assailing the inaction of the mining authorities in processing the petitioner's application dated 30.01.2015 for grant of a lease for quarrying Road Metal and Building Stone over an extent of 20.00 Hectares in Survey No.18 of B.Kotha Kota Village and Mandal, Chittoor District.

Despite the matter being adjourned to enable the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Mines and Geology to get instructions, he states that he was unable to do so. This Court sees no purpose served in inviting a counter in a matter of this nature when the authorities are yet to apply their mind and process the petitioner's pending application for grant of a quarry lease.

The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of directing the respondent authorities concerned to consider and process the petitioner's application dated 30.01.2015 for grant of a quarry lease in accordance with the relevant Rules and take appropriate action in the matter. This exercise shall be completed expeditiously and in any event, not later than three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
