WRIT PETITION NO. 19226 OF 2014 O R D E R :
Learned counsel appearing for the parties submit that the prayer in this writ petition is covered by the order dated 18/02/2016 in WP.No. 33624 of 2014. The operative portion of the order reads as follows:
3. In the counter-affidavit filed by respondent it is stated that the University Grants Commission has framed regulations in the year 2009 by name UGC [Minimum Standards and Procedure for the award of M.Phil/Ph.D Degree] Regulation, 2009.
Learned Standing Counsel for respondent states that the University will receive petitioner's thesis and place it before the Monitoring and Development Committee within two months from today and after consideration by said Committee, communicate the decision thereon to petitioner within this time.
4. In view of the said submission of the learned counsel for respondent, the respondent is directed to receive petitioner's thesis and place it before the Monitoring and Development Committee constituted by respondent for evaluation of thesis within two months from today and respondent shall communicate to petitioner the decision of the said Committee within one week of the matter being placed before the Committee.
2. The writ petition is disposed of as indicated above with the minor change of three months instead of two months from today. No costs.
3. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
