Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri K. Lakshmi Narasimha, learned standing counsel for the respondent - Andhra Bank.

Petitioners claim that they are working as Sub Staff in the respondent - Andhra Bank. These writ petitions are filed alleging that their services are not regularized.

When the matters are taken up, Sri K. Lakshmi Narasimha, learned standing counsel for the respondent - Andhra Bank, points out that no representations are made by the petitioners claiming regularization of their services. According to the instructions furnished to him, petitioners are not working in the respondent - Andhra Bank. He also points out that recently orders were passed merging the Andhra Bank into Union Bank of India and the Andhra Bank per se does not exist as of now. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioners though contends that petitioners are entitled to regularization and that not regularizing the services of the petitioners is illegal, does not dispute the factum that so far no representations are made by them and seeks leave of the Court to make representations by the petitioners. 5.

Having regard to these submissions and the fact that the Andhra Bank already merged into the Union Bank of India, the writ petitions are dispose of granting liberty to the petitioners

to make representations to the Union Bank of India, Head Office located in Bombay, ventilating their grievance and seeking appropriate relief. If such representations are made by the petitioners, the Union Bank of India shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders as warranted by law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of representations. Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ____________________ P. NAVEEN RAO, J KH
