THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.17633 of 2015 Date:18.06.2015 Between:
Madakam Venkateswara Rao and another.
.... Petitioners And The State of Andhra Pradesh, rep. by District Collector at Eluru and others.
... Respondents
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.17633 of 2015 ORDER:
The grievance of the petitioners is that the Revenue Authorities are not issuing pattadar pass books and title deeds to them, though they have applied in the prescribed format.
The material filed along with the writ petition shows that the petitioners did
apply by way of an application in Form-VI(A) as prescribed under the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Rights in Land and Pattadar Passbooks Act, 1971. That being so, it is for the Tahasildar, Jeelugumilli Mandal, West Godavari District, to consider the same in accordance with law, cause enquiry as per due procedure and thereafter take action.
Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue states that this process would take some amount of time and a direction may be issued accordingly. The writ petition is therefore disposed of directing the Tahasildar, Jeelugumilli Mandal, West Godavari District, to consider the petitioners' Form-VI(A) application dated 09.03.2015 and take appropriate action thereon in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Pending Miscellaneous Petitions shall stand disposed of in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
