This Writ Petition is being disposed of at the admission stage with the consent of both the parties.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the representation of the petitioners for absorption or reinstatement as sub staff in Life Insurance Corporation of India-respondent Nos.4 and 5 as illegal, arbitrary, discriminatory and contrary to the judgment rendered by the Supreme Court in Tamil Nadu Full Time Temporary LIC Employees' Association Vs. LIC of India and others1 and violative of principles of natural justice and also violative of Articles 14 and 16 of the Constitution of India and sought a consequential direction to the respondents to reinstate/absorb the petitioners as sub staff with all other consequential benefits. 3.

Heard Smt. B.Vasantha Lakshmi, learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri Bathula Raj Kiran, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.

It has been contended by the petitioners that they were appointed as sub staff during 1999 and 2015 and they have completed 184 days of service in each of the year. The grievance of the 1 (2015) 9 S.C.C. 62

AKS,J petitioners is that respondents are not considering their cases for absorption even though they are fully eligible and qualified for absorption in terms of the judgment of the Supreme Court in Tamil Nadu Full Time Temporary LIC Employees' Association (cited supra) and the petitioners have submitted a representation to the respondents on 18-06-2018 to that effect. Therefore, learned counsel for the petitioners sought a direction to the respondents to consider their representation, dated 18-06-2018, and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

Learned Standing Counsel for the respondents submits that the respondents will consider the case of the petitioners and appropriate orders would be passed on the representation submitted by them by duly following the judgment of the Supreme Court in Tamil Nadu Full Time Temporary LIC Employees Association (cited supra) in accordance with law.

This Court, having considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the respective parties, is of the considered view that the Writ Petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioners for absorption as Class-IV employees and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above observations, these writ petitions are disposed of. No order as to costs.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
