O R D E R

The order under challenge in this writ petition is revisable under the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Land Agency Rules, 1924. Though the writ petition has been pending consideration for nearly three years, this Court is of the opinion that the remedy of revision provided to the petitioners would be more comprehensive as factual aspects can also be gone into by the revising authority, which would normally not be done by this Court in exercise of its extra ordinary jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution.

The writ petition is therefore dismissed leaving it open to the petitioners to avail the remedy of revision in accordance with law. This Court had granted interim stay of the order under challenge on 18.06.2012. The same shall therefore continue to be in operation for a period of four weeks from today. In the meanwhile, the petitioners shall approach the revisionary authority by way of a revision and seek interim protection therein. Needless to state, the pendency of this writ petition before this Court shall be taken into account by the revisionary authority while entertaining the revision.
