When this matter is taken up for hearing, it is informed by both the Counsel that the issue raised in this writ petition is squarely covered by the order dated 16.2.2018 passed in W.P.No.19952 of 2002, and therefore, this writ petition may be disposed of in terms of the above order.

In view of the above submission, this Court is of the view that this Writ Petition can be disposed of in terms of the order dated 16.2.2018 in W.P.No.19952 of 2002.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of in terms of the order dated 16.2.2018 in W.P.No.19952 of 2002, wherein the interest amount, which the petitioner deposited before the appellate authority under the Payment of Gratuity Act is directed to be refunded to the petitioner. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
