This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioners/ A.1 to A.3 to quash C.C.No.564 of 2018 on the file of the Principal Judicial First Class Magistrate, Jangaon.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners/ A.1 to A.3, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing respondent No.1/ State and perused the record.

As per the First Information Report, dated 03.08.2017 and the information collected by the investigating agency, there are allegations against the petitioners/ A.1 to A.3 constituting the offences punishable under Section 498-A of IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioners/ A.1 to A.3 has relied on the decision reported in Varala Bharath Kumar v. State of Telangana1, wherein the Apex Court held that there were no allegations constituting the offences punishable under Sections 498-A and 406 of IPC. But in the instant case, there are allegations constituting the aforementioned offences. 5.
Under these circumstances, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
