HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V. SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION NO.5087 OF 2018 ORDER :

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.

The written instructions dated 16.02.2018 furnished by the Station House Officer, Begumpet Police Station, Hyderabad, are placed on record by the learned Government Pleader. To the extent of relevance, the said instructions read as follows:

"It is submitted that the Begumpet Police Station building was renovated two years back by demolishing certain old structures and during said process the infrastructure was badly damaged including the records of the Police Station which also included the file relating to the above Crime, and the construction waste along with the destroyed records were removed.

In the said circumstances, the Begumpet Police are ready and willing to issue Missing Certificate to the Petitioner herein so as to enable the Petitioner to obtain duplicate passport or the Begumpet Police will abide by the orders that may be passed by this Hon'ble Court in the present Writ Petition." The above said instructions are placed on record and the Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondents herein to issue necessary endorsement to the petitioner herein so as to enable the petitioner to avail the remedies open under the law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no orders as to costs. 3.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
