ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of mandamus to declare the action of the respondents in not preparing the common seniority list of Adilabad for the Teachers working at Singareni Collieries High Schools and not admitting the petitioner to the post of grant-in-aid from 1981, as illegal and arbitrary. 2.

Though the matter is listed under the caption "For dismissal", none appeared for the petitioner.

Learned Government Pleader for Education for the first and second respondents and the learned Standing Counsel for the third respondent have submitted that as the petitioner had attained the age of superannuation, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication.

This Court, having considered the said submissions, is of the considered view that since the petitioner has retired from service, the relief sought for by him cannot be granted at this point of time. 5.

Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand dismissed.
