When the matter is taken up for hearing, written instructions dated.19-02-2018 furnished by the Sub Inspector of Police, Central Crime Station, Nellore District are placed on record by the learned Government Pleader for Home. The said instructions, to the extent of their relevance, read as under: - "It is submitted that the allegations raised by the writ petitioner in the writ petition are false and concocted for filing the present writ petition. The police never called either the petitioners or their family members at any point of time to the police station and the 3rd respondent herein has not influenced by another person, as alleged by the writ petitioners.
It is pertinent to mention here that the 3rd respondent herein has no authority or power to register any crime in the Central Crime Station, Nellore, and he has the authority to investigate into the cases, if any, allotted by the Superintendent of Police, Nellore District. Apart from that, the 3rd respondent herein has not allotted any cases relating to these petitioners, for investigation." Having regard to the above said instructions, the writ petition stands closed by placing on record the above written instructions. No costs.
