This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioners/ A.1 to A.8, seeking to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.922 of 2019 on the file of the XV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate at Hyderabad, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498A, 406, 506 of IPC and Sections 4 & 6 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 2 .

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners/ A.1 to A.8, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the 1st respondentState and perused the record. 3 .

It is brought to the notice of this Court that the parties intend to compound the offences. It is needless to state that the parties are entitled to do so, in accordance with law. As far as the request to quash the proceedings in the subject Calendar Case is concerned, there are allegations against the petitioners/ A.1 to A.8 constituting offences punishable under Sections 498A, 406, 506 of IPC and Sections 4 & 6 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. Under these circumstances, it is not a fit case to quash the proceedings. 4 .
