THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.S.RAMACHANDRA RAO WRIT PETITION No.39694 of 2015 O R D E R:

Petitioners are residents of Kandikatkur Village, Illanthakunta Mandal of Karimnagar District. The State Government decided to construct a Medium Irrigation Project across the Manair River on whose bank Kandikatkur village is located. Petitioners claim to be displaced persons on account of part submergence of this village and they seek implementation of rehabilitation and resettlement scheme as per the policy notified by the Government vide G.O.Ms.No.68, Irrigation & CAD (Project Wing-LA-IV-R&R) Department dt.08.04.2005.

2. The Government Pleader for Irrigation appearing for 1st respondent on instructions states that petitioners ought to apply to the Special Deputy Collector, L.A. Unit-VI SRSP/FFC/Dr.BR Ambedkar Sujala Sravanthi Project LMD Colony, Karimnagar for seeking the benefit under the said scheme.

3. In this view of the matter, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the petitioners to submit applications, individually, to the Special Deputy Collector, L.A. Unit-VI SRSP/FFC/Dr.BR Ambedkar Sujala Sravanthi Project LMD Colony, Karimnagar seeking benefit under the rehabilitation and resettlement scheme notified under G.O.Ms.No.68, dt.08.04.2005 within two (02) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the said official is directed to dispose of the said applications within six (06) weeks from the date of its submission by the petitioners. There shall be no order as to costs.

4. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand dismissed.
