Heard learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies (Andhra Pradesh).

The petitioner is a fair price shop dealer of Konathattupalli Village, Somandepalli Mandal, Anantapur District. His authorization was cancelled by the 4th respondent Revenue Divisional Officer, Penukonda, vide proceedings dated 14.09.2015, on the ground that he has committed certain irregularities. Against the said order, the petitioner preferred an Appeal to the 3rd respondent Joint Collector, Anantapur District, who, through his order dated 24.03.2016, confirmed the order of cancellation of the authorization. The petitioner has also preferred a Revision along with a stay application against the said order before the 2nd respondent District Collector, Anantapur. The District Collector, while entertaining the Revision, rejected the stay application. In the meanwhile, the petitioner has also submitted an Application for renewal of the authorization of his fair price shop, but the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has brought up this Writ Petition.

The main grievance of the petitioner is that no enquiry as contemplated under law has been conducted, which itself is contrary to the principles enunciated by this Court in catena of judgments. Be that as it may, since the petitioner has approached the 2nd respondent District Collector by way of a Revision, in the present case, the interests of justice would be better served if the Revision is directed to be disposed of within a fixed time frame. The Writ Petition is therefore, disposed of, with a direction to the 2nd respondent Revisional Authority to consider and decide the Revision preferred by the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, the miscellaneous Applications, if any shall also stand disposed of.
