This petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, seeking for modification of the order dated 04-01-2018 in Criminal M.P.No. 3482 of 2017 in Criminal Appeal No. 1423 of 2017 on the file of the Court of Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Hyderabad (for short, 'the Court below'), which is to the effect that the petitioner has to deposit half of the cheque amount.

The above order is passed while suspending the sentence imposed against the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner now seeks for reduction of the said mount on the ground that the petitioner has a good case in the appeal. 3.

Hence, considering the above, the condition imposed by the Court below is modified to the effect that the petitioner shall deposit 1/ 4th of the cheque amount instead of half of the cheque amount.

Subject to the above, the criminal petition is allowed. Pending miscellaneous petitions if any shall stand closed in consequence.
