ORAL ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned standing counsel for respondents.
2.
Petitioner is aggrieved by alleged excess billing as can be reflected in bill dated 14.2.2019. According to petitioner, there are no arrears to be paid by him and whatever amount is mentioned in the bill is totally unrelated to the service connection of the petitioner. 3.
However, reading of the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition and material on record would show that petitioner never espoused his grievance before the competent authority. Learned standing counsel has pointed out that Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum is constituted to redress such grievances of the consumers. Even other wise, petitioner has remedy under Consumer Protection Act, 1986 and without availing the remedies available and without ventilating his grievance, straightaway writ petition is filed. Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition and same is dismissed, leaving it open to the petitioner to avail the appropriate remedies available to him against alleged excess billing. No costs.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, are closed.
