When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has responded to the Notification dated 31-05-2018 issued by the 2nd respondent for the post of S.I. and her case was not considered on the ground that she was measuring only 150 cms, whereas the required bench mark as per the notification is 152.5 cms.

The petitioner contends that the respondents have erroneously measured the height of the petitioner; actually the petitioner is measuring 152.7 cms; and because of the incorrect measurement of height of the petitioner, the petitioner's case could not be considered.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a direction may be given to the respondents to remeasure the height of the petitioner and upon remeasuring the height of the petitioner, if it is found that the petitioner is measuring 152.5 cms, her case may be considered for appointment to the post of S.I. 4.
Learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent had submitted that wherever the candidates, who have disqualified on the basis of required height marginally, they are being considered by the 2nd respondent. Therefore, the case of the petitioner also will be
AKS,J W.P.No.6337 of 2019 considered and the petitioner would be subjected to re-examination of the height in accordance with the rules.

This Court, having considered the submissions made by the counsel for the both parties, is of the view that the Writ Petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 23-03-2019 and pass appropriate orders on the said representation, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.
With these observations, the Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
