This appeal is arising out of the award and decree dated 02.08.2004 in O.P. No.946 of 2002 on the file MACT-cum-IX Additional Chief Judge, City Civil Court, Hyderabad granting compensation of Rs.1,00,000/- on account of injuries sustained by the petitioner in the motor accident.

The appellant is the claimant, who filed a claim petition under Section 166 of M.V Act claiming compensation of Rs.1,00,000/- and the Tribunal awarded Rs.5,000/- towards compensation. Aggrieved by the said award, this appeal is preferred by the claimant for enhancement of compensation. 3.

Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for respondent.

Learned counsel for petitioner fairly conceded that there are no merits in this appeal for enhancement of compensation. 5.

Since the petitioner received simple injuries and the Court has awarded Rs.5,000/-, the award under challenge does not require any interference. Therefore, this appeal is liable to be dismissed.

In the result, the appeal is dismissed. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, pending if any, in this Petition shall stand closed.
