This Writ Petition is being disposed of at the admission stage with the consent of both the counsel.

The petitioners in this Writ Petition are challenging the action of the respondents in rejecting the cases of the petitioners on the ground that they have not qualified in the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), particularly, in respect of height and expansion of chest. 3.
This Court vide orders in W.P.No.5258 of 2019, dated 14-03-2019, while disposing of the Writ Petition, directed the respondents herein to remeasure the height of the petitioners therein once again and in respect of chest expansion is concerned, this Court vide orders in W.P.No.6233 of 2019, dated 26-03-2019, while disposing of the Writ Petition, directed the respondents herein to remeasure the chest expansion of the petitioners therein. Therefore, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that similar orders can be passed in this Writ Petition also.

Learned Standing Counsel for the respondents had also not disputed the same. He submitted that as a last chance, physical measurement test and physical efficiency test is being conducted on 28th and 29th March, 2019 and it is for the petitioners to report before the authorities and submit a representation for reconsideration of their
AKS,J W.P.Nos.6551 of 2019 physical measurements and the respondents would consider the cases of the petitioners by re-measuring the physical measurements of the petitioners.

This Court, having considered the rival submissions made by both the parties, is of the considered view that the Writ Petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to re-measure the measurements of the petitioners in respect of height as well as expansion of chest and if the petitioners are qualified, then their cases can be considered for selection to the posts of Sub Inspector and Constable.

With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
