THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.S.K.JAISWAL Criminal Petition No. 10366 of 2010 ORDER:

This criminal petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking quash of the proceedings in Crime No.283 of 2010 of P.S. Raidurgam, Cyberabad, which was registered against the petitioner and other accused for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A IPC, and Sections 4 and 6 of Dowry Prohibition Act, insofar as the Petitioner herein i.e., Dasa Ravindra Ramachandra, is concerned.

2. The allegations in brief are that the de facto complainant was married to the non-petitioner/A1 on 05.11.2008 at Ganesh Grounds, Gachibowli, Hyderabad as per the Hindu rites and customs. It is alleged that A-1/husband used to suspect the character and forced the de facto complainant to go for abortion. Apart from that, several allegations are made against her husband/A1 and mother-in-law/A2.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor for the State, and considered the entire material on record.

4. Insofar as the petitioner herein is concerned what is the allegation made by the de facto complainant is that on one occasion, the petitioner questioned her as to what proof she will produce that she will not commit any mistake and will never talk to any other guy in future. In the lengthy complaint, running into six pages, except making such allegation, there is nothing against the petitioner herein, who is said to be working in Mumbai and near relative to her husband/A1. There is no specific allegation against

the petitioner herein, including the harassment and demand for additional dowry.

In that view of the matter, all further proceedings against the petitioner herein are liable to be quashed.

5. The criminal petition is accordingly allowed, and the further proceedings against the petitioner herein i.e., Dasa Ravindra Ramachandra in Crime No.283 of 2010 of P.S. Raidurgam, Cyberabad, are quashed.
