This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioner/ accused seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.72 of 2018 of Market Police Station, Hyderabad City, registered for the offences alleged under Sections 420 and 506 I.P.C. and Section 3 (i) (x) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner/ accused and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing respondent Nos.1 and 2. Perused the record.

It is contended that the parties have compromised the subject matter of the Crime. In the F.I.R., dated 14.06.2018, there are sufficient grounds/ allegations constituting the offences alleged under Sections 420 and 506 I.P.C. and Section 3 (i) (x) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. Under these circumstances, registration of F.I.R. and continuation of investigation are not abuse of process of law. The petition is devoid of merit and is liable to be dismissed. 4 .
Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
