This Criminal Petition, under Section 457 read with 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioners to call for the records in P.O.R.No.42/2017-18, dated 28.09.2017 registered by the second respondent for the offence under Section 9 of Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 and quash the same. 2.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the 1st respondent-State and perused the record.

The prosecution case is that the use of the Lorry bearing No.AP 29 TA 8178 caused the death of a bison. The lorry is seized during the course of investigation of that crime by the respondent forest officials. The same can be released on some conditions pending investigation/adjudication.

Under these circumstances, petitioner No.1-K.Venkata Ramana, who is said to be the owner of the lorry, is directed to execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees five lakhs only) with one surety in a like sum to the satisfaction of respondent No.3-Divisional Forest Officer, Kakindada Division. On such furnishing of guarantee, the said officer shall release the Lorry bearing No.AP 29 TA 8178 in favour of petitioner No.1K.Venkata Ramana. The petitioner shall not alienate or change any part of the vehicle, keep it in roadworthy condition and he shall produce the same as and when directed by the officials, as well as Court concerned.

With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed.
