The relief sought for in this Writ Petition is to declare the inaction on the part of the respondents in considering the petitioner's case for extension of the period of contract upto June, 2012, with respect to the Right of collection of parking fee on Cycle, Scooter and Car stand on road side in the subject area, as illegal and arbitrary. Since the relief sought for in the Writ Petition is only for extension of period of contract upto June, 2012, which expired more than five and half years ago, it is evident that the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive necessitating any further adjudication by this Court. The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed as infructuous. The miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
