HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI W.P.No.6531 of 2019 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is being disposed of at the admission stage with the consent of both the counsel.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is working as Full Time Contingent Employee with the respondents. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents are not considering her case for regularization of service though she has rendered service for more than 29 years. He further submitted that in terms of law laid down by this Court in W.P.Nos.45949 and 46007 of 2018, dated 27-02-2019 following the judgment of the Supreme Court in The Secretary, State of Karnataka Vs. Umadevi1, the respondents shall consider the case of the petitioner for regularization. Therefore, he submitted that in this Writ Petition also, a similar direction may be given to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for regularization of her services. 3.

Learned Government Pleader for Agriculture appearing for the respondents states that the respondents shall consider the case of the petitioner for regularization in view of the law laid down by the Supreme court and appropriate orders would be passed. 1 (2006) 4 S.C.C. 1

This Court, having considered the rival submissions made by both the parties, is of the considered view that the Writ Petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for regularization of her services in terms of the judgment of the Supreme Court in Umadevi (cited supra) and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
