This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the 3rd respondent in issuing proceedings dated 17.09.2002 deploying the petitioner from Finance Department to Operation Depot, as illegal and arbitrary. Since the petitioner had retired from service during pendency of the writ petition, the cause in the writ petition does not survive. Therefore, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
