THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.22525 OF 2008 ORDER:

The present Writ Petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not issuing the letter of intent in respect of location No.66 i.e., Duppalapudi, Anaparthi Mandal, East Godavari District in favour of the petitioners for establishment of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., retail outlet, as illegal and arbitrary and consequently, direct the respondents to issue the letter of intent in respect of location No.66 i.e., Dupplapudi, Anaprthi Mandal, East Godavari District in favour of the petitioners for establishment of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., retail outlet.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel for the respondents.

3. In view of the proceedings, dated 04.12.2008 issued by the Senior Divisional Retail Sales Manager, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Visakhapatnam, wherein the Corporation has decided to cancel the dealership selection interview held on 21.02.2008 and ordered re-interview of eligible candidates, no further orders are necessary in this writ petition. However, it is always open to the petitioners to avail the remedies, if any, available under law.

4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
