This Writ Petition is filed alleging that even though no crime is registered, police are interfering with personal life and liberty of the petitioner and harassing him to settle his dispute with unofficial respondents with reference to chit related issue and such action is illegal and arbitrary.

When the matter is taken up, learned Government Pleader produced photo copy of F.I.R. No.293 of 2018, registered on 15.12.2018 on the complaint filed by K.Ramaswamy - respondent No.5 herein. In the said F.I.R., petitioner is shown as sole accused alleging illegalities in conducting chit business by him and abusing the wife of the complainant in filthy language and in the name of caste.

In view of the above submission, it cannot be said that the police are illegally interfering with the life and liberty of the petitioner.

The Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed leaving it open to the petitioner to work out remedies on the issue relating to the registration of crime and thereon. No costs. 6.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
