SMT. JUSTI CE T.RAJANI CRI MI NAL PETI TON No. 1 9 9 0 OF 2 0 1 8 ORDER:

This petition is filed seeking for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners-accused Nos. 1 to 5 in crime No. 18 of 2018 of Sathyavedu Police Station, Chittoor District. 2.

The case of the prosecution is that the daughter of one S.Sekhar and K.Vinodh Kumar, S/ o late Manohar, of Ramachandrapuram Village of Sathyavedu Mandal were in love and they eloped; that in that connection, the said Sekhar approached Sricity Police, suspecting the involvement of one Parthiban and Karna of the same village; that then the parents of Parthiban and Karna approached the Village SarpanchBhaskar and one Babu and got their sons back; that in that regard, the petitioners, having mistakenly understood that the said Bhaskar and Babu were responsible for the elope, barged into the house of Babu, beat his wife Sujatha and others, abused them in filthy language and threatened with dire consequences. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are no way concerned with the alleged offences and they are not relatives or in any way interested. Learned Public Prosecutor submits that investigation is still in progress and the role of these petitioners and their interest in the affairs of the persons, relating to the transaction, is yet to be verified. 4.

Hence, considering the above, this Court opines that anticipatory bail cannot be granted to the petitioners. However, the petitioners can file a petition seeking for regular bail by surrendering themselves before the Court below having jurisdiction. The Court below shall dispose of the bail application

on merits, if any filed, expeditiously, preferably on the same day, subject to pressure of other work.

4.

Subject to the above, the criminal petition is dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand dismissed in consequence.
