The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition challenging the action of the 2nd respondent in reverting the petitioner from the post of Senior Assistant to the post of Field Assistant.
2. Heard Mr. Metta Chandra Sekhar Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. J. Anil Kumar, learned Standing Counsel for the Registry.
3. Though the petitioner has raised several issues, today the learned counsel for the petitioner, considering the request made by the respondent for time to file a counter, agreed to confine his relief for the present to a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal within a time frame. This in view of the fact that the reversion order was passed way back in 2014 and the fate of the petitioner is hanging fire for the past nearly three years.
4. In view of the limited request now made, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 1st respondent to consider the appeal of the petitioner dated 25.04.2016 and dispose it of in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
