This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed by the petitioner, seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent No.3 not to call the petitioner to police station, without following due process of law. 2.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, appearing for the respondents and perused the record.

The grievance of the petitioner is that without there being registration of any crime, the respondent-police are interfering with his personal life and liberty and therefore, sought a direction to the respondent No.2 not to interfere with his personal life and liberty, without there being registration of any crime.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on instructions, would submit that basing on the complaint, dated 15.02.2022, lodged by one Munagala Veeranarayana against the petitioner and others, a case in Crime No.141 of

2022 of Malkajgiri Police Station, was registered for the offences under Sections 420, 467 and 471 read with 34 I.P.C. The petitioner is Accused No.1 in the said crime. The investigation in relation to the said crime is in progress. The petitioner is facing the enquiry.

Under these circumstances, it cannot be held that there is unwarranted interference by the respondent-police with the life and liberty of the petitioner. Since crime is registered against the petitioner, it is required to be investigated into, in accordance with law. Therefore, no relief, as sought for by the petitioner, can be granted.

With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
