SMT JUSTICE T.RAJANI CRIMINAL PETITON No.2045 OF 2018 ORDER:

This petition is filed, under Sections 437 and 439 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973, seeking to enlarge the petitioners, who are A2 and A4, on bail in F.No.DRI/HZU/VJRU/48/ ENQ-6/2017, on the file of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Regional Unit, Vijayawada, for the offences punishable under Sections 20, 28 and 29 of NDPS Act.

Heard the counsel for the petitioners and the Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

As per the case of the prosecution, these petitioners are the drivers of the vehicles in which commercial quantity of Ganza was being transported.

The quantity of Ganza, as per the case of the prosecution, is 261 Kgs. Hence, the petitioners cannot escape the rigors of section 37 of NDPS Act.

Hence, in view of the above, this criminal petition is dismissed.
