THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.6720 OF 2019 ORDER:

It is a case where petitioner challenges the seizure of the commodities vide order dated 20.03.2019.

This Court in I.A.No.1 of 2019 vide order dated 29.03.2019 directed the 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner for release of the stocks on or before 08.04.2019.

Now, I.A.No.2 of 2019 is filed by the District Collector seeking extension of time for further period of three (03) weeks for disposal of the appeal stating that as he was involved in election duty, the appeal could not be disposed of, as directed.

Considering that the election duty has come in the way, I deem it appropriate to grant such extension. However, the main relief claimed in the writ petition is challenge to the seizure order dated 20.03.2019, the direction granted in I.A.No.1 of 2019 is made as final order in the writ petition except to the extent that appeal shall be disposed of on or before 29.04.2019 without fail. Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. No order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions pending in the writ petition, if any, shall stand closed.
