ORDER:
This Contempt Case is filed alleging willful disobedience of order, dated 24.9.2012 in Writ Petition No.25633 of 2011.
A perusal of the record shows that the order in respect of which the violation is alleged was passed as
far back as 24.9.2012.
Under Section-20 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, the limitation for filing Contempt Case is prescribed as one year from the date on which the contempt was alleged to have been committed. By the above-mentioned order, this Court has directed the respondents to refund a sum of Rs.6,35,000/- to the petitioner. Therefore, the limitation commences from the date of the said order. As the petitioner has filed this Contempt Case beyond the period of limitation, the same is liable to be dismissed as barred by limitation. Accordingly, the Contempt Case is dismissed.
