THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE SANJAY KUMAR CONTEMPT CASE NO.1921 OF 2016 ORDER:

This contempt case was instituted alleging willful disobedience to the order dated 21.04.2016 passed in W.P.No.13533 of 2016. By the said order, this Court took note of the grievance of the petitioners with regard to enhancement of property tax and directed their representations to be treated as revisions by the Commissioner, Parkal Nagara Panchayat, Parkal Mandal, Warangal District, in accordance with the due procedure prescribed under Rule 12 of the Taxation and Finance Rules. The said revisions were directed to be disposed of within a time frame. It is now represented by Sri K.Bhaskar Reddy, learned counsel representing Sri N.Praveen Kumar, learned counsel for the respondent, viz.

, the Commissioner, Parkal Nagara Panchayat, Parkal Mandal, Warangal District, that the representations of the petitioners were duly treated as revisions and were disposed of on merits. He would further state that aggrieved by the same, the petitioners filed appeals before the Regional Director-cum-Appellate Commissioner of Municipal Administration, Warangal, and the said appeals were disposed of by the Appellate Commissioner, vide proceedings No.197/2016/A5 dated 10.04.2018. A copy of the said proceedings is placed on record. In the light of the aforestated facts, this Court finds no evidence of disobedience, much less willful disobedience, warranting exercise of contempt jurisdiction.
