THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM Writ Petition No.1159 of 2015 ORDER:

The writ petition is filed questioning the notice, dated 09.01.2015, issued by the District Wakf Board, Krishna District, the 3rd respondent herein, proposing to conduct elections, to the Mothi Masjid and Shadi Khana Committee, the 4th respondent herein. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of respondent Nos.2 and 3, in all fairness, submits that in terms of Government Order, dated 20.11.2010, the Chief Executive Officer, representing the A.P. State Wakf Board, the 2nd respondent herein, alone is the competent authority to issue election notification and conduct elections.

Recording the said submission, the writ petition is disposed of, at the stage of admission, giving liberty to the 2nd respondent to conduct elections. There shall be no order as to costs. The miscellaneous petitions filed in this writ petition shall also stand disposed of.
