The prayer of the petitioners in this case reads as under: "For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is hereby prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue writ or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the 4th Respondent in not taking action on the application made in Form 6A on 28.12.

2018 for mutation of name of the petitioners in respect of land in Survey No 477/A situated at Nallavelly Village Yacharam Mandal R R District as illegal and arbitrary by issuing appropriate writ order or direction more particularly in the nature of Mandamus and consequently direct the 4th Respondent to consider the application made in Form 6A for mutation of names of the petitioners in Revenue Record in respect of land in Survey No 477/A situated at Nallavelly Village Yacharam Mandal R R District to an extent of Ac 4 00 forthwith and to pass and pass such other relief or reliefs as this Honble Court deems fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

Perusal of the record reflects that the petitioners submitted an application in the prescribed format in Form VI (A) as required by Section 4 of the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971, read with Rule 18 (2) of the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Rules, 1989.

Having received such an application, it is not open to the Tahsildar, Yacharam Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, to remain somnolent. The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of directing the Tahsildar, Yacharam Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, to take appropriate action on the petitioners' application expeditiously and in any event, not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, be it from whatever source.

Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
