The petitioner alleges inaction on the part of the police authorities upon her complaint dated 10.05.2011. By the said complaint, the petitioner stated that she was being physically and mentally harassed for additional dowry by respondents 3 to 10 in the writ petition.
The Station House Officer, Saidabad Police Station, Hyderabad, furnished written instructions dated 25.07.2011 to the office of the learned Government Pleader for Home, wherein he stated that the petitioner had sent the complaint dated 10.05.2011 by post. Upon receipt of the same, an entry was made in the general diary and the police visited the house of the petitioner bearing Door No.16-1-23/A at Saidabad, but found it to be locked. Upon enquiry with the neighbours, the police were informed that the whereabouts of the petitioner were not known. The Station House Officer therefore stated that in the event the petitioner approaches the police
authorities, necessary action would be taken on her complaint in accordance with law.
Sri Shaik Jilani, learned counsel for the petitioner, upon being informed of this state of affairs, stated that his client would approach the police authorities so that necessary further action may be taken upon her complaint. Recording the said statement, the writ petition is closed leaving it open to the petitioner to approach the police authorities concerned for taking necessary appropriate action.
Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
