THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T.SUNIL CHOWDARY WRIT PETITION No.2727 of 2004 ORDER:

The writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus to declare the action of the 2nd respondent in rejecting the candidature of the petitioners to the post of Junior Lineman on the ground that the petitioners are over aged as per the guide lines stipulated for recruitment of Junior Lineman as illegal and arbitrary and opposed to Article 14, 16 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to appoint the petitioners as Junior Line men without reference to the age criteria and pass such other necessary orders.

At the time of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the purpose of filing the writ petition has become infructuous.

In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, the miscellaneous petitions if any pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
