HON'BLE SHRI JUSTICE NOOTY RAMAMOHANA RAO W.P. No.17964 of 2007 Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare. The writ petitioner had preferred an Appeal before the Agent to the Government, East Godavari District against the orders passed by the Special Deputy Collector, Tribal Welfare, Rampachodavaram and the Appeal has been decided by the Additional Agent to the Government on 22.10.2005 dismissing the same. Against the orders passed by the Additional Agent to the Government in C.M.A. No.59 of 2004, the writ petitioner preferred a revision before the Government of Andhra Pradesh on 20.12.2005. He has also prayed for interim directions therein.

The said revision is entertained by the State Government, but no orders are passed thereon so far. In the meantime, the writ petitioner claims that he is being threatened to be evicted from out of the schedule land. The revision to the State Government is provided for in terms of Section 6 of the A.P. Scheduled Areas Land Transfer Regulation Act, 1959. Since the revision is pending for about 2 years before the Government, it is directed that the same shall be decided within a maximum period of six months from today at any rate on or before 31st March, 2008. In the meantime, the status quo

obtaining with regard to the possession of the schedule lands be maintained.

With this, the writ petition is disposed of.
