ORDER:

The disciplinary proceedings against the petitioner resulted in imposing the punishment of compulsory retirement by orders of the disciplinary authority, dated 29.05.2015. Aggrieved by the said orders of the disciplinary authority, the petitioner claims to have preferred appeal to the appellate authority on 14.07.2015. Alleging that so far, the appeal is not disposed of in spite of submitting the reminder, this writ petition is filed.

2. Against the order of the disciplinary authority, the petitioner has a right of appeal and the petitioner has availed the right of appeal. Since the remedy of appeal is already availed, the Court is not inclined to go into the merits of the allegations at this stage.

3. Suffice, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the appellate authority to consider the appeal on merits and pass appropriate orders, as warranted by law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
