HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.18814 OF 2002 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in terminating the services of the petitioner without following due process of law, as illegal and arbitrary, and consequently, to allow the petitioner to continue his services. 2.

This Court while admitting this writ petition on 30.9.2002, granted interim direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner, if there is workload. It is brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner is being continued in service by virtue of the interlocutory order. Now, the petitioner is seeking regularization of his services in terms of G.O.Ms.No.212, dated 22.4.1994.

The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents submitted that the Corporation has forwarded proposals to the Government to regularize the services of the petitioner in terms of G.O.Ms.No.212, dated 22.4.1994.

In view of the above submission, this Court is of the view that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the petitioner herein to submit a representation to the respondents seeking regularization of his services.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to submit a representation to the respondents seeking regularization of his services, within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such representation being made, the respondents shall consider and pass appropriate orders, within eight weeks thereafter. No costs.
