This writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to continue him in the same duties performed by him, after recovery from sickness in the year 1996.

Since the petitioner had retired from service during pendency of the writ petition, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication and, accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
