ORDER
Heard Sri Gundrati Raman Goud, learned counsel for the petitioner, and learned Government Pleader for Services-I for respondent Nos.1 and 2. Perused the material on record 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner I was appointed as a Drug Inspector on 31.08.2006 and promoted to the post of Assistant Director on 16.05.2018. The petitioner challenges the final seniority list of Assistant Directors in the Drugs Control Administration issued by respondent No.2 yrde Memo No.l573O/E/2015, dated 03.01.2025. It is stated that the seniority list is not in accordance with the Telangana State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, and the petitioner's seniority should be placed above to that of Smt. G. Rajya Lakshmi, as both were regularized on the same date i.e., on 16.05.2018 and seniority should be based on the Telangana State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996. The petitioner raised objections to the tentative seniority list issued by respondent No.2 on 05.07.2024, and submitted his objections on 08.07.2024, which were not considered. Thereafter the petitioner filed an appeal on 2O.OI.2025 and the same is pending before respondent No.1.
) 3, Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the fixation of seniority by respondent No.2 is not in accordance with the Telangana State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996. 4.
As per G.O.Ms.No.5, dated 14.02.2003, there should be no reservation in promotion to the post of Deputy Director due to the limited cadre strength and promotion must be based on seniority. 5.
Therefore, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that appropriate orders be passed in the writ petition by directing. the respondents to consider and dispose of the appeal submitted by the petitioner.

Learned Government Pleader for the respondents submits that there is no acknowledgment on the appeal submitted by the petitioner.

Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel for the respective parties, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent authorities to consider and dispose of the appeal submitted by the petitioner, dated 20.0I.2025, and pass a ppropriate orders in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (04) weeks from the
J date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
As a sequel, miscellaneous applications pending, if any, in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
